[News]2NE1 to Perform “Go Away” at Biggest Fashion+Music Event in Japan, GIRLS AWARD 2011?

Their NOLZA mini album that was released on September 21, reaching the #1 spot on the Oricon Album Ranking charts, a historical first for a foreign artist and fulfilling a very promising debut, 2NE1 has been decided to perform in the biggest fashion and music event in Japan {GIRLS AWARD by CROOZ blog 2011 AUTUMN/WINTER}.

The {GIRLS AWARD by CROOZ blog 2011 AUTUMN/WINTER} event will be held on November 12 at the Yoyogi Stadium for the first time. Every year, the event chooses from a wide range of subjects for a theme and for this year, GIRLS AWARDS has decided on the theme {ADVENTURE}. With about 100 models present in attendance and with a lot more to be announced, 2NE1 appearing in the event for the first time together with other big artists in this one evening where fashion, music and entertainment will interweave with the theme.

2NE1, continuing with the success of their mini album {NOLZA}, will be releasing a single on November 16th. The single that they’re set to releaseis the same one used as the theme song of the FujiTV series {MezaNyu~} and is also the group’s biggest hit song, the Japanese version of {GO AWAY}. A lot are expecting that they will be introducing this song on the Girls Award stage.

Just the other day, 2NE1 finished their highly-successful Japan concert tour {2NE1 1st Japan Tour “NOLZA in Japan”} that had about 70k people in attendance. The Girls Award event is a chance for the 2NE1 and their fans to see each other once more, and a huge opportunity for the girls to let their fanbase grow.

Two additional performers GIRL NEXT DOOR (a chart-topping pop trio) and Kylee (a Japanese-American soloist, earlier this year she held her US debut concert) have also been announced to perform at the event.
